5 Series That You Need On Your Shelves

Hey y’all! Day 13 of Blogmas will feature 5 series that completely made my 2019!

The Reluctant Royals by Alyssa Cole: The reasons I love this series are for the representation, royalty, and love. Each of the relationships rented out a little piece of my heart after each book and each book got better and better. I still think that A Prince On Paper is one of the strongest conclusions to a romance series I’ve read this year. Can we also get a shoutout for strong black women in every aspect?

The Stalking Jack The Ripper Series: This series that I just completed last night captured my heart with all of the gothic murder mystery and romance. I’m also a sucker for historical fiction and Kerri Maniscalco might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I’ll take a refill because my cup is empty honey!

The Wayward Children Series: Wow, where do I start with this series? I’m so sad that I just discovered it a few months ago because the fantasy, the dialogue, the narration, the imagery, the magic, the representation and EVERYTHING was perfect. I truly felt represented with Jack’s story and her journey with OCD. I can’t wait for the next book in the series in 2020.

The Girl Meets Duke Series: I also discovered a new romance author this year by the name of Tessa Dare, who completely swept me off my feet with the romance and the humor and the plots of her stories. When I say that each book complemented the next, it was truly beautiful and an instant favorite. I will never forget reading these.

The Sands of Arawiya: Calling all YA Fantasy lovers! We Hunt The Flame is one of the greatest fantasies of the year bar none. When I say that Hafsah Faizal took her time presenting a well fleshed out and fully realized novel I’m not kidding. The way this novel played out was nothing short of a movie and there was so much beautiful representation within its pages. Truly a masterpiece. I can’t wait for We Free The Stars next year.
