June 2019 Wrap Up

Hey guys! I’m here with my June Wrap Up. It was a pretty chill month for reading and most of these books were completed at the END of the month because I didn’t get my butt into gear until then but, covers lead to Goodreads!

Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco was such a great adventure. I started reading it for #StalkAlong hosted by Destiny @ Howling Libraries in which we’ll be reading each book in the series up until the release of Capturing The Devil in September✨

Wilder Girls by Rory Power was an ARC I received from NetGalley that I can’t believe I let fly under the radar for so long. It was so beautifully written while being equally suspenseful and creepy. I need everyone to add this to their TBRs. Review Here

• Truthwitch by Susan Dennard was an impromptu read which I finished in a day and I’m just hoping for better results from the next book in the series because it was just a lot happening at once in that book.

Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan was part of a buddy read for Pages & Prose Bookclub and I’m so happy I finally got a chance to read this one. I’ve heard plenty of mixed things about it and I figured it was the perfect time to make my own opinion. Everyone should absolutely try to read this.

We Hunt The Flame by Hafsah Faizal was also part of a buddy read for Pages & Prose. This was honestly one of my favorite books of the year because it was so well done. This is one fantasy that was so rich with cultural influence and magic that I was just thinking about how amazing the story was while it unfolded. Can I also just say the plot twists?!? PLURAL. GO CHECK IT OUT.

We Set The Dark on Fire by Taylor Kay Meija was also an impromptu read since the books was on sale for $3 dollars on Kindle and I couldn’t pass it up. I needed more #OwnVoices fantasy in my June and this author did not disappoint. It was a good read.
