Dude Where’s My TBR? // My April Reading Plans

My Kitty Cleo’s bookstagram debut✨

Hello guys! Here we are at another start to another month in our slowly moving rotation around the Sun and I’m here with a “kind of” plan for my reading this fine April 🌻

As always the covers lead to Goodreads

ARCs to read:

─── ο½₯ ο½‘οΎŸβ˜†: *.☽ .* :β˜†οΎŸ. ───

New Orleans Rush by Kelly Siskind- I literally couldn’t pass up the chance to request this ARC, mainly because of the cover and nothing else. When I opened it and discovered its unique premise and eccentric characters I can’t deny that it pulled me in. Review to come.
The Dragon Republic by R.F. KuangI also requested this one on a whim (even though I haven’t read the first one) and I got approved when I was so sure I would be denied so looks like I’ll be adding some adult fantasy to my TBR this month.
Rebel by Beverly Jenkins- I began this ARC in early March and I got about 30% into it before I got distracted by other books so I’ll be finishing this one this month pinky promise!

Books I want to read:

─── ο½₯ ο½‘οΎŸβ˜†: *.☽ .* :β˜†οΎŸ. ───

  • The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi I’ve had this book on my shelves for a couple of months now and recently there was a lot of talk about it and I’m currently about 30 pages in and I find it pretty intriguing, I can’t wait to read this book and it’s proving to be as beautiful as the author’s recent wedding πŸ–€
  • The Illuminae FilesThis was the first series I read when I first got back into reading hardcore and it rocked my world. I’ve always been a lover of sci-fi/fantasy and this book surpassed all of my expectations. I want to re-read the whole series and I’m more than willing to throw away half of the books on my TBR to make it happen.

    Lit Coven Reads:

    ─── ο½₯ ο½‘οΎŸβ˜†: *.☽ .* :β˜†οΎŸ. ───

There aren’t very many reads for my bookclub this month but they are exponentially different. I’d never head of Jomny Sun’s Everyone’s an Alien When you’re an Alien too until it was chosen during our admin discussions this past year and so I’m excited to jump into the unknown; it’s a fairly short book so I can’t complain. The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang was a book that my fellow admin and person Lorryn and I were supposed to read a super long time ago but we never did. Thank you Lit Coven for holding us accountable πŸ–€

    ─── ο½₯ ο½‘οΎŸβ˜†: *.☽ .* :β˜†οΎŸ. ───

    Wrap-Up:

The reason why my TBR is intentionally short this month is because I’ll be participating in #CampNaNoWriMo which is essentially a more laid back National Novel Writing Month which takes place in November. I have a pretty hefty goal to achieve so I’m going to take it one day at a time and just let my story unfold organically. I have an awesome support system and a friend who’s actually published books before that’s been really kicking my ass into gear the past few weeks. I hope everyone has a wonderful April and all of your goals are accomplished and that your peace of mind can be maintained throughout. Blessed Be.
