October Wrap Up // 2018

Personal Updates: (Feel free to scroll πŸ–€)

Hey y’all! I know it’s been a couple of weeks but a hiatus was needed beyond belief. I was struggling with my mental health a bit but now with a lot more free time and a clear head I’m more than ready to get back to it. A few personal changes have occurred….I’m no longer working two jobs to make room for all things bookish. I want to get serious about writing my novel and reviewing books and helping with my bookclub because it’s my true passion and I know I need to put as much effort into it as possible. The next big personal change is me getting MARRIED!!! We decided to skip the frills and flash and elope in Denver on our first vacation together. I’m so excited to start this new chapter with my husband, our road has not been easy and we’ve overcome a lot and grown a lot over these past 6 years. If you had told me I would be marrying the quiet kid in my science class in HighSchool I would have laughed at you. But enough of the sappy stuff! Let’s get to the good stuff ✨

“OcTOMEber” Reads:

I read 6 books this month totaling 3,264 pages which was 396 pages more than last month. I’m honestly super upset that I had a two week book slump because I could have added like…a thousand more pages. I also didn’t even come close to finishing my “planned” TBR. I only wrote three book reviews this past month which you can find below ⬇️

  • I kind of participated in Blogtober and made a few fun original tags that you can find below ⬇️

  • As always there were some negative aspects to my reading month. I DNF’ed these books:
    • The Devil’s Thief by Lisa Maxwell
      Ophelia Alive by Luke Harrington

I honestly couldn’t tell you if it was just the timing of which I read these or if it was just me but hopefully I’ll pick these up sometimes soon!

    Upcoming changes:

I will be particpating in #NaNoWriMo this month for the first time ever and I have a few ideas in the works for a novel but executing them and sticking to a plan will be the hardest part. I’m considering this (National Novel Writing Month for those of you who don’t know the acronym) a stepping stone for all of my future novels to come. This means a smaller TBR but hopefully more accountability with writing blog posts and everything else to come. I also started Booktubing which will be a work in progress but I’m excited/apprehensive either way. Mainly excited though ☺️

    Wrap Up:

Thank you guys for being so patient! I look forward to coming back with more content and things to mindlessly scroll through. I hope to be posting regularly after we’re back from our honeymoon! With love and light,

    Bee ✨
